In times of increasing complexity, acceleration and technological disruption, knowledge is more accessible than ever. Yet organizations often struggle to transform knowledge into wisdom, orientation and meaningful action. Spiritual Knowledge Management addresses this gap by expanding the focus of Knowledge Management beyond information, tools and transfer toward purpose, resonance, transformation and human flourishing.
One focus of this roundtable will be the notion of resonance. Drawing on Hartmut Rosa’s understanding of resonance as a responsive relationship with the world, Spiritual Knowledge Management asks how knowledge processes can become more than the exchange of information. How can they create spaces in which people, ideas, experiences and possible futures genuinely speak to us, call forth a response and transform the way we think, act and collaborate?
The roundtable introduces Spiritual Knowledge Management as an emerging field of research and practice. It explores how knowledge processes can support individuals, teams and organizations in moving toward their “future best version” and how concepts such as resonance, caring, practical wisdom, Ba and Ma can enrich contemporary Knowledge Management. After an introductory impulse, participants will engage in breakout discussions to reflect on the relevance, challenges and possible applications of Spiritual Knowledge Management in organizational contexts.
Alexander Kaiser is associated professor at the Institute of Data, Process and Knowledge Management since 2000. Furthermore Dr. Kaiser has finished a certified coaching training program in the field of systemic-constructivist coaching and a certified professional coaching training program in the field of systemic-analytic coaching and is the founder and head of WaVe – center for vocation coaching.
